The EU Council today established a new framework for restrictive measures in response to Russia’s destabilising actions in Europe and abroad. This new framework will allow the EU to target individuals and entities engaged in actions and policies by the government of the Russian Federation, undermining fundamental EU values, European security, independence, and integrity.

Spain: EU Commission disburses 4th RRF payment of €9.9bn

The EU Commission is disbursing to Spain the fourth payment for €9.9 billion (net of pre-financing) in grants, under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). EU Council updates fisheries measures in the North-East Atlantic

The EU Council has formally adopted a set of updated fisheries measures in the North-East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC) area. This concerns new rules on management, conservation and control for the NEAFC area, as well as control measures for certain pelagic species in the North-East Atlantic which were agreed during coastal states consultations.
