President von der Leyen travels to Manila to take EU-Philippines partnership forward

Next Monday 31 July, President Ursula von der Leyen will be in Manila, in the Philippines, where she will meet President Ferdinand Marcos with the aim of moving forward the partnership between the European Union and the Philippines. The two Presidents will discuss several matters of common interest such as trade, security, and the green and digital transitions.

EU Commission President in Tirana to participate in the Berlin Process Summit

On Sunday 15 and Monday 16 October, President Ursula von der Leyen will be in Tirana, Albania, where she will participate in the Berlin Process Summit, held in the Western Balkans region for the first time. On Sunday afternoon, President von der Leyen will meet the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, and the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, to discuss Albania's EU accession process. President von der Leyen and Prime Minister Rama will hold a press conference following their meeting, at +/- 17:30 CEST, which will be broadcast live on EbS.

EU Commission President von der Leyen hosts Global Gateway Forum

Under the theme, ‘Stronger Together through Sustainable Investment', the Global Gateway Forum will showcase progress in the implementation of the Global Gateway strategy, the EU's offer for quality, transparent investments in connectivity, health, education and research systems across the world. 

Sweden: PM to receive Petteri Orpo and Ursula von der Leyen

On Friday 19 January, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will receive Finland’s Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. A joint press conference will be held in the afternoon. During the visit, the leaders will discuss current EU issues linked to competitiveness, forests and the green transition. They will also visit Stora Enso’s biomaterials innovation laboratory and talk about the EU dimension of forestry in the Nordic countries together with representatives of the Swedish and Finnish forest industry.
