Informal meeting of EU employment and social policy ministers, 13-14 July 2023

On 13 and 14 July 2023, an informal meeting of EU Employment and Social Policy ministers will take place in Madrid, Spain. It will be chaired by ministers Yolanda Díaz and José Luis Escrivá.

The first half day of the meeting will consist of exchanges of national and European experiences in social dialogue, while later the same day EU ministers will share national experiences and advances in EU care policies. The second day of the meeting will be dedicated to social protection.

Climate diplomacy: EU, Canada and China co-host the 7th MoCA

On Thursday 13th and Friday 14th July, Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans, Canada's Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault, and China's Minister for Ecology and Environment, Huang Runqiu are co-convening the 7th Ministerial on Climate Action (MoCA), in Brussels. The MoCA is a major annual ministerial meeting on international climate action attended by Ministers from G20 countries and other key Parties in the UN climate negotiations.

The press briefing ahead of the EU-CELAC summit of 17-18 July 2023 will take place on Friday 14 July 2023 at 14.30. This briefing will be "off the record". The press briefing will take place in a hybrid format: EU accredited journalists will be able to participate and ask questions either in person at the Europa Building press room or remotely.
