Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will host United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Finland on 2 June.
Foreign Minister Haavisto and Secretary of State Blinken will discuss topical foreign and security policy questions, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, long-term support to Ukraine and current NATO matters.
“The United States is a key ally for Finland. This visit is a testament to the solid foundation of our bilateral relationship. In the current security situation, deepening our dialogue with the United States is important. It is a great pleasure for me to welcome Secretary of State Blinken to Finland and to continue our discussions,” Haavisto says.
While in Finland, Secretary of State Blinken will also meet Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
