The Committee of Inquiry on the Protection of Animals during Transport (ANIT) concludes its work with the last meeting on Wednesday, 1 December, and vote on Thursday, 2 December.
The meeting will take place at Altiero Spinelli building, room 3G-3. It will be held with remote participation. The meeting will be livestreamed here (Parliament’s Multimedia Centre). Full agenda is available here.
On Wednesday (1 December) at 16.45 MEPs will have a final debate on their main findings on alleged violations in the application of EU rules on the protection of animals during transport, within and outside the EU. 1233 amendments have been tabled and many compromises have been reached on the final report and recommendations.
On Thursday (2 December) they will vote on the draft report and recommendations. The final results will be available at around 18.00.
On Friday (3 December) at 10.00 the co-rapporteurs Daniel Buda (EPP, RO) and Isabel Carvalhais (S&D, PT) will hold a press conference to present the outcome of the vote. It will take place in Parliament’s press conference room (Anna Politkovskaya room PHS 0A50), with the possibility to participate in hybrid format through Interactio platform.
