“I just had a lengthy and highly productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, Energy, Artificial Intelligence, the power of the Dollar, and various other subjects.
We both reflected on the Great History of our Nations, and the fact that we fought so successfully together in World War II, remembering, that Russia lost tens of millions of people, and we, likewise, lost so many! We each talked about the strengths of our respective Nations, and the great benefit that we will someday have in working together.
But first, as we both agreed, we want to stop the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin even used my very strong Campaign motto of, “COMMON SENSE.” We both believe very strongly in it. We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other’s Nations.
We have also agreed to have our respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, to inform him of the conversation, something which I will be doing right now.
I have asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of the CIA John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, to lead the negotiations which, I feel strongly, will be successful.
Millions of people have died in a War that would not have happened if I were President, but it did happen, so it must end. No more lives should be lost!
I want to thank President Putin for his time and effort with respect to this call, and for the release, yesterday, of Marc Fogel, a wonderful man that I personally greeted last night at the White House. I believe this effort will lead to a successful conclusion, hopefully soon!”

A telephone conversation took place between Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
The leaders discussed issues related to the exchange of citizens between Russia and the United States. The U.S. President assured that the American side would fulfill all agreements reached.
The topic of the settlement in Ukraine was also discussed. Donald Trump expressed his support for the swift cessation of hostilities and resolving the issue through peaceful means. Vladimir Putin, for his part, mentioned the necessity of addressing the root causes of the conflict and agreed with Donald Trump that a long-term settlement could be achieved through peaceful negotiations.
The President of Russia also supported one of the key points made by the U.S. President, stating that it is time for our countries to work together.
During the conversation, the leaders touched on Middle Eastern settlement, the Iranian nuclear program, and bilateral Russian-American relations in the economic sphere.
The President of Russia invited the U.S. President to visit Moscow and expressed readiness to host U.S. officials in Russia on areas of mutual interest, including the Ukrainian settlement issue.
Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump agreed to continue personal contacts, including organizing face-to-face meetings.

Состоялся телефонный разговор Владимира Путина с Президентом Соединённых Штатов Америки Дональдом Трампом.
Главы государств обсудили вопросы, связанные с обменом граждан России и США. Президент Соединённых Штатов заверил, что американская сторона выполнит все достигнутые договорённости.
Обсуждалась также тема урегулирования на Украине. Дональд Трамп высказался за скорейшую остановку боевых действий и решение проблемы мирными средствами. Владимир Путин, со своей стороны, упомянул о необходимости устранения первопричин конфликта и согласился с Дональдом Трампом в том, что долгосрочное урегулирование может быть достигнуто путём мирных переговоров.
Президент России также поддержал один из основных тезисов главы американского государства о том, что наступило время, чтобы наши страны работали вместе.
В ходе беседы были затронуты темы ближневосточного урегулирования, иранская ядерная программа, а также двусторонние российско-американские отношения в сфере экономики.
Президент России пригласил Президента США посетить Москву и выразил готовность принять в России американских должностных лиц по тем направлениям работы, которые представляют взаимный интерес, включая тему украинского урегулирования.
Владимир Путин и Дональд Трамп договорились о продолжении личных контактов, в том числе об организации личных встреч.

The conversation went very well. He, like President Putin, wants to make PEACE. We discussed a variety of topics having to do with the War, but mostly, the meeting that is being set up on Friday in Munich, where Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead the Delegation.
I am hopeful that the results of that meeting will be positive. It is time to stop this ridiculous War, where there has been massive, and totally unnecessary, DEATH and DESTRUCTION. God bless the people of Russia and Ukraine!”

“Dear Ukrainians!
It has been a long and difficult day. I just held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council – the decision has been made and will be published tomorrow. We are defending our state and restoring justice: everyone who has destroyed Ukraine’s national security and helped Russia – everyone must be held accountable. The billions that were earned through the actual sale of Ukraine, its interests, and its security must be blocked and must work for the defense of Ukraine and Ukrainians. And this will happen. Certainly. There is also a decision regarding the prices of medicines for our people – something that is needed by the citizens of Ukraine. There is a way to reduce the price of the top 100 most essential medicines by 30% starting from March 1 – for the most important medications for our people. The government must present all the details to the public. The changes must be tangible and positive for millions of Ukrainians. This is the personal responsibility of the government officials, specifically the Minister of Health.
The second matter today. Very substantive negotiations with the United States of America. There was a conversation with President Trump – a good conversation, detailed, I am grateful to the President for his sincere interest in our common opportunities, in how we can together bring about true peace. The conversation was long. We discussed many aspects – diplomatic, military, economic, and President Trump informed me about what Putin told him. We believe that America’s strength is enough to, together with us and all our partners, push Russia and Putin to peace. There was also a meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent – we are preparing an agreement that will strengthen our security and give a new impulse to our economic relations. We plan to work out all the details so that, already within the framework of the Munich conference and our meetings there with American representatives, including Vice President Pence, we will have a clear vision of how we can add more security and what document can confirm this.
And one more thing.
Today’s Russian missile strike on Ukraine – ballistic missiles, drones. Just before the visit of the American Minister. Unfortunately, there are casualties – my condolences to the families. There are also injured. And it is clear: everyone who is able to help with air defense must work to strengthen the protection of people’s lives from Russian terror. The war, unfortunately, continues. We must defend lives, and we must defend them every day. We are doing everything we can to bring peace closer. I thank everyone who helps! And who will be with us on the first day of peace.

“Дорогі українці, українки!
Довгий і непростий сьогодні день. Щойно провів засідання РНБО – рішення ухвалене й буде опубліковане завтра. Захищаємо нашу державу та відновлюємо справедливість: кожен, хто знищував національну безпеку України та допомагав Росії, – кожен повинен відповідати. Мільярди, які були зароблені фактично продажем України, українських інтересів, української безпеки, повинні бути заблоковані й повинні працювати на захист України та українців. І це буде. Обов’язково. І є також рішення щодо цін на ліки для наших людей – те, що потрібно так громадянам України. Є шлях, щоб знизити на 30 % ціну на топ 100 медичних засобів із 1 березня – на найбільш важливі ліки для наших людей. Уряд повинен представити суспільству всі деталі. Зміни мають бути відчутними й позитивними для мільйонів українців. Це персональна відповідальність урядовців і конкретно – міністра охорони здоров’я.
Друге за сьогодні. Дуже предметні перемовини зі Сполученими Штатами Америки. Була розмова з Президентом Трампом – хороша розмова, детальна, я вдячний Президенту за щирий інтерес до наших спільних можливостей, до того, як ми можемо разом наблизити справжній мир. Тривала розмова. Ми обговорили багато нюансів – дипломатичних, військових, економічних, і Президент Трамп поінформував мене про те, що йому сказав Путін. Віримо, що сили Америки достатньо, щоб разом із нами, разом з усіма партнерами дотиснути Росію і Путіна до миру. Також була зустріч із міністром фінансів Сполучених Штатів Бессентом – ми готуємо угоду, яка зміцнить нашу безпеку й дасть новий поштовх нашим економічним відносинам. Ми плануємо всі деталі опрацювати так, щоб уже в межах Мюнхенської конференції та наших зустрічей там з американськими представниками, зокрема віцепрезидентом Америки Венсом, – щоб у нас було готове бачення, як додамо більше безпеки і який документ може це зафіксувати.
