In its enlargement package, the Commission reports on the progress and overall state of play of alignment of North Macedonia with the EU acquis, including in the area of rule of law, economic criteria and trade sector. The Commission provides also clear guidance on what needs to be done for the upcoming period1. These issues are also discussed and monitored in the Stabilisation and Association bodies.
The Commission supports North Macedonia to further align with the EU acquis, including through intense policy dialogue, and significant technical and financial assistance.
