On 13 July, Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Jan Lipavský , Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia and Miroslav Wlachovský, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia will visit North Macedonia as mandated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.

North Macedonia is one of the closest partners of the European Union in the Western Balkans, fully aligned with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. Against the backdrop of the current geo-political challenges, the joint visit will be an opportunity to recall that all political actors should engage to move the country forward on its EU path, which is the wish of the overwhelming majority of the citizens of North Macedonia.

The Ministers will meet with President Stevo Pendarovski, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani, Speaker of the Parliament Talat Xhaferi, leaders of political parties and members of the Parliament.

The Ministers will hold a press conference, location and time to be announced at a later stage. Audiovisual coverage of the visit will be provided by the European Union Delegation to North Macedonia.
