Brussels, 7 February 2023
The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation, the creation of two joint ventures by PREměření, a.s. and SUAS Clean Energy s.r.o. (‘SUAS’), both of Czechia.
Each joint venture will develop, construct and operate a photovoltaic power plant in Czechia. PREmereni provides services related to the purchase, installation, verification and reading of energy measuring devices and generation of electricity in photovoltaic and wind power plants. SUAS is active in the generation of heat and electricity from natural gas and other renewable sources.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given the companies’ limited combined market position resulting from the proposed transaction. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
More information is available on the Commission’s competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.11019.
