On 1 September from 13.45 to 14.45, ECON Members will hold an exchange of views with Gary Gensler, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), on transatlantic cooperation in the field of financial services.
The mission of the SEC is to protect investors; maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets; and facilitate capital formation. Gary Gensler was nominated by President Biden to Chair the SEC on February 3, 2021, confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 14, 2021, and sworn into office on April 17, 2021.
