A call for tenders has been published for a study to support the evaluation of the Free Flow of Non-Personal Data Regulation, the Open Data Directive and the Data Governance Act.
In 2025 the European Commission will carry out an evaluation of these three legal instruments:
The study will provide input to this exercise and may recommend possible adaptations to the legal acts in order to further unlock valuable data, especially in the context of AI models and applications.
In particular, the study will deliver quantitative and qualitative evidence for the preparation of the evaluation reports.
In addition, it will examine the possible need to streamline the current legislation on data.
