The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Climater HoldCo SAS (“Climater”) by Krefeld SAS, both based in France, and Intermediate Capital Group plc (“ICG”), based in the United Kingdom.
The transaction mainly concerns the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical engineering and plumbing sector.
The Commission concluded that the proposed merger would not raise competition concerns, as the companies are not present in the same or vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger control procedure.
