The Committee on Foreign Interference and Disinformation will vote on its recommendations, and discuss with NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence on Tuesday, 25 January, 9:00-12:00 h (EP Brussels, SPINELLI 1E2).

The meeting will be held with remote participation and is webstreamed here.

Vote

On rapporteur Sandra Kalniete‘s (EPP, LV) draft report that sums up the work of the committee. The committee will first vote on a series of compromises political groups reached on draft text, then, in a second round of voting, on the entire text. Compromise amendments will be available here. Final results will be tweeted from @EP_Democracy.

INGE will organise expert debates together with the Subcommittee on DefenceNATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence on the following topics:

  • Russia’s Strategy in Cyberspace” with Sanda Svetoka
  • China as a Narrative Challenge for NATO Member States” with Richard Turcsányi, Palacký University Olomouc, Czechia
  • Emerging issues in the digital domain: what threats we should look out for and how malicious actors modify their strategy” with Director Jānis Sārts, and Nika Aleksejeva, Gundars Bergmanis-Korats, Sanda Svetoka
