The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Yoko Asset Management 2 Pte. Ltd (“Yoko”), based in Singapore, by GreenYellow Mekong BV (“GreenYellow”), based in the Netherlands, STOA Infra & Energy (“STOA”), based in France, and DEG – Deutsche Investitions-und Entwicklungsgesellschaft MBH (“DEG”), based in Germany.

The transaction mainly concerns the production of electricity in Thailand and Vietnam.

The Commission concluded that the proposed merger would not raise competition concerns, given the limited impact on the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger control procedure.
