Women’s poverty in Europe

Adoption of a draft report by rapporteur Lina Gálvez Muñoz (S&D, Spain). The draft report is available here.

The draft report seeks to address the gender-based poverty gap, calling for specific public policies to tackle the structural gender inequalities that cause, exacerbate or perpetuate women’s poverty.

Intersectional discrimination in the European Union: the socio-economic situation of women of African, Middle-Eastern, Latin-American and Asian descent

Adoption of a draft report by rapporteur Alice Kuhnke (Greens/EFA, Sweden). The draft report is available here.

The draft report stresses the need for EU policymaking to address intersecting forms of discrimination and is expected to call for positive action measures, such as quotas, for women facing intersectional discrimination in public institutions.
