Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will host North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani in Finland on 27 October. The foreign ministers will talk about bilateral matters, EU enlargement, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, and topical NATO questions.
Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will visit Berlin on 2 November 2023 to attend a high-level meeting on EU enlargement and to discuss ways to develop energy cooperation.

The foreign ministers will discuss current bilateral affairs, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the regional situation in East Asia and other topical international matters. Japan is currently a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, and this year a member of the UN Human Rights Council at the same time as Finland. Japan has also just completed its term of the G7 presidency.
