EU Commissioner Wojciechowski visits flood affected regions in Greece
GreeceOn 5 & 6 October, Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, travels to Greece to visit areas affected by recent flood damage. On the ground he will meet farmers and rural communities whose lives were directly impacted by the floods. The extent of damage to agriculture and forestry is of deep concern.
EU Commission Executive VP Dombrovskis in Slovakia to visit Ukrainian border region
Between 5 and 7 October, Executive Vice-President and Commissioner for Trade, Valdis Dombrovskis, travels to Slovakia to visit the Ukrainian border region. Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis will be welcomed by the Minister of Transport of Slovakia, Pavol Lančarič, to visit a transhipment terminal and observe first hand important developments in Solidarity Lanes infrastructure. These developments are feeding into the work of the Joint Coordination Platform to facilitate Ukrainian grain exports and develop alternative transport routes.
