The aim of the meeting is to discuss the role of renewable hydrogen in the decarbonisation of the EU, especially in the context of the REPowerEU plan, in which it is positioned as a major player.
This role should be reinforced through the regulatory framework, with measures that favour the installation of hydrogen plants and their use in potential applications.
It will also address the different European and national financial instruments for boosting the renewable hydrogen value chain, the development of the necessary infrastructure and collaboration with third countries, ensuring that these address complementary issues.
In this context, the lines of the Pioneering and Singular Renewable Hydrogen Projects and the Innovative and Knowledge Value Chain for Renewable Hydrogen, framed in Component 9 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, will be presented, as recognised in the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of Renewable Energy, Renewable Hydrogen and Storage (PERTE ERHA).
