Background information

A special report from the World Energy Outlook, Recycling of Critical Minerals: Strategies to Scale Up Recycling and Urban Mining will evaluate the current status of recycling and urban mining for materials containing minerals critical to the energy transition. It will shed light on the various recycling technologies in use today for different clean energy application segments, analyse the potential business models emerging in different regions, present projection results for secondary supply by mineral and scenario, and outline targeted policy recommendations to accelerate the uptake of recycling and urban mining that can pave the way for more sustainable and secure future mineral supply chains.

This launch webinar will begin with the lead authors of the newly released report presenting its key findings and will be followed by a panel discussion with invited industry and policy experts and audience Q&A.
