Together with the other EU institutions in Brussels, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will open its doors in celebration of Europe Day.
On Saturday 6 May, the EESC fully opens its doors to you, the public, for the first time since the COVID-19 crisis. The EESC Open Day is a rare opportunity to discover the work of the only EU institution representing organised civil society, including employers, workers and other interest groups such as youth organisations, environmentalists, consumers, women’s groups and many more.

It is a chance for reflection on what peace, cooperation and solidarity have built and what we hope to achieve in the future. Come and visit in order to:

• Discover what the EESC can do for you, find out who we are and what we do. Come see the EU buildings and get a taste of what daily life in an EU institution looks like.
• Exchange views with the EESC members on topical issues of interest and concern, as well as to learn about the role of the EESC in the EU decision-making process.
• Discover what EESC members do back in their home countries.
• Take part in live activities: Europe Day is a celebration of peace and unity in Europe, but there will also be interactive games on the EU, live music and refreshments, face painting for the children and much more will be organised!
