This high-level conference will be an opportunity to look into the actual implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plans (NRRPs) and see whether investments and reforms manage to address social challenges.

Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, the Spanish Presidency, the European Network of Public Employment Services, EIGE (European Institute for Gender Equality), Eurofound (the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions), CEPS, KU Leuven, Youth representatives and social partners at EU (BusinessEurope, ETUC) and national levels. The programme also includes presentations of national projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility and EESC opinions.

The first Session, on ‘Advancing the social objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plans through the European Semester’ will explore the connections between the NRRPs and the European Semester and the monitoring and evaluation mechanisms embedded in the European Semester.

The second session, on ‘The gender dimension in the National Recovery and Resilience Plans’ will focus on ensuring an adequate gender dimension in the NRRPs’ implementation and monitoring. Interventions can further address any emerging or well-established practices in relation to gender mainstreaming.

The third session, on ‘The youth dimension in the national recovery and resilience plans – a focus on employment measures’ will look at the impact and relevance of the NRRPs for young people and youth organisations.

Finally, in the Keynote session on ‘Promoting social cohesion through the national recovery and resilience plans’ speakers will conclude, looking towards the future and considering the role of social dialogue and participation of civil society organisations as the key tool for building partnerships to deal with existing and emerging challenges.

Each session will allow time for contributions and questions from participants.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event!
