Democracy and Liberties Summit in Paris

LOCATION: Cité Internationale Universitaire, 17 boulevard Jourdan, 75014 Paris

At the invitation of Gabriel Attal and Valérie Hayer, a Democracy and Liberties Summit will be held on Monday 24 March 2025, at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.

Opened by the French Prime Minister, François Bayrou, this Summit will gather more than 50 participants from 25 different countries.

Among them :

Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission

Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe (France).

Rob Jetten, former First Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands and leader of the Democrats 66 party.

Svenja Hahn, President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).

Sandro Gozi, Secretary General of the European Democratic Party (EDP).

This event takes place 48 hours after a strategic European Summit, and 3 days before the “Summit of the Volunteers’ Coalition” in Paris. By working together, national and European elected leaders can structure majorities capable of adopting decisive measures, whether it’s aid to Ukraine, sanctions against authoritarian regimes, or strengthening defense and economic cooperation mechanisms. This summit will be an opportunity to enhance their coordination and affirm a shared political will in the face of international challenges.
