Brussels Economic Forum: EU citizens decide – shaping tomorrow’s economy

16 May

The Brussels Economic Forum (BEF) is the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission. For over 20 years, it has gathered high-level European and international policymakers, academics, civil society and business leaders to identify key challenges and debate policy priorities for the European economy.

Date: 16 May 2024, 10:00 am (CEST)

Hybrid event: in-person in Brussels and online

From the Agenda:

Artificial Intelligence can be an important driver of innovation and productivity. It can create new job opportunities, improve skills in the workforce, boost economic growth and reduce costs.

But Artificial Intelligence also raises concerns. It can lead to unequal distribution of income, pose challenges with data protection and raise ethical concerns.

So, do the benefits outweigh the risks?

Diane Coyle and Gemma Galdón-Clavell will debate the motion live at the Brussels Economic Forum on 16 May.
