Education

Erasmus+ 2028-2034

The Council will be invited to approve a partial negotiating mandate on the Erasmus+ regulation for 2028-2034. Erasmus+ is the EU’s flagship programme supporting education, training, youth and sport.

Teachers and AI

Education ministers are expected to approve conclusions on teachers in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The conclusions call for an ethical, safe and human-centred approach to AI in education that focuses on strengthening digital skills and AI literacy, and supports teachers’ and learners’ well-being.

European Education Area

Ministers will exchange views on the topic of basic skills and the European Education Area. The discussion will focus on effective strategies to strengthen basic skills for all learners.

Informal lunch

Over lunch, education ministers will hold an informal discussion on building resilient education and training systems in times of crisis.


Youth

Youth-friendly EU and national policies

In the context of the 11th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue, ministers will be invited to discuss ways to ensure that EU and national policies are youth-friendly.

EU Youth Strategy

The Council is expected to approve a resolution on the revision of the EU Youth Strategy Work Plan for 2025 -2027.

EU Youth Dialogue

The Council will be invited to approve a resolution on the outcomes of the 11th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue, which aims to ensure that the outcomes of the cycle are recognised and followed up on by relevant stakeholders at EU and national levels.

Informal breakfast

An informal breakfast meeting will take place in the framework of the EU Youth Dialogue, focusing on the EU Youth Strategy post-2027.
