The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of PetSmart LLC by Apollo Management L.P., both of the US, and BC Partners LLC of the UK.
The transaction relates primarily to the pet food and services sector.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
