Brussels, 23 March 2023

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Polytech Group of Denmark by Verdane Capital 2020 of Sweden and FSN Capital VI of the UK.

The Polytech Group is active in the development, manufacturing and distribution of specialised rotor blade component products for wind turbines worldwide. Verdane Capital 2020 is an investment fund active in the consumer internet, software, energy and advanced industrial sectors. FSN Capital VI is a private equity fund with investments mainly in Austria, Germany, the Nordic countries and Switzerland.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given the absence of overlaps and vertical links between the companies’ activities in the relevant markets in the European Economic Area. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.

More information is available on the Commission’s competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.11041.
