Brussels, 8 July 2022

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of Ellaktor S.A. of Greece by Reggeborgh Invest B.V. (‘Reggeborgh’) of the Netherlands.

Ellaktor is an infrastructure group mainly active in the sectors of construction, concessions, environment, renewable energy sources and real estate development and services in Greece and Romania.

Reggeborgh is an investment group with a portfolio that includes activities in construction, industrial supply and infrastructure, waste processing and renewables, mainly in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given that Ellaktor and Reggeborgh operate in different geographic markets. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. More information is available on the Commission’s competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.10799.
