Tomorrow, Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans will travel to Washington, DC to discuss climate change with US lawmakers. On Thursday he will meet with members of the Climate Solutions Caucus in the US Senate, and will convene a meeting of the High-Level Climate Action Group, together with John Kerry, the US Special Presidential Envoy for climate change. He will also present his vision on climate ambition in an online conference on the European Union’s new path forward on climate organised by the Atlantic Council think tank. On Friday, he will meet with members of the House of Representatives Select Committee on the Climate Crisis and with the US National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy.
