Agenda highlights

The Foreign Affairs Council, in its development configuration, will offer the opportunity to have a follow-up of the EU-African Union summit, which took place in Brussels on 17 and 18 February 2022.

Ministers will exchange views with the chair of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki. They will address the follow up to the EU-AU Summit and other global issues of interest, including the global food insecurity situation.

Member States will also discuss Team Europe’s crisis response with a focus on Ukraine and Afghanistan. They will also discuss the broader operationalisation of the nexus, the aim being to move beyond the pilot phase in 6 countries that started 5 years ago and generalise the nexus approach to all partner countries where it can bring benefits.
