On Tuesday, the Internal Market and Civil Liberties Committees will vote on the agreement on the AI Act from 9 December.

Following the EU ambassadors’ endorsement of the compromise text on 2 February, the stage is set for Parliament’s competent committees to vote on the provisional agreement. This step will pave the way for the AI Act’s final adoption in plenary before the end of April.

When: Tuesday, 13 February from 9.30 to 10.00 CET

Where: European Parliament, room Spaak 1A002, Brussels and online

The AI Act regulation aims to ensure that fundamental rights, democracy, the rule of law and environmental sustainability are protected from high-risk AI. At the same time, it seeks to foster innovation and establish Europe as a leader in the AI field. The rules put in place obligations for AI based on its potential risks and level of impact.
