Brussels, 30 January 2023
Commissioner for Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, is in Berlin today and tomorrow, where he will meet Finance Minister, Christian Lindner; Head of the Federal Chancellery, Wolfgang Schmidt; and Economic Affairs and Climate Action Minister, Robert Habeck. They will exchange on key economic policy priorities such as the reform of the EU economic governance framework following the orientations put forward by the Commission in November 2022. Discussions will also focus on enhancing Europe’s competitiveness notably in areas related to the green transition.
This afternoon, Commissioner Gentiloni will also visit the Neggst Foods project, which receives support under the InvestEU programme via the Green Generation Fund. He will then deliver a public lecture at the Hertie School on building a fair, green and competitive European economy.
