On Monday, President von der Leyen will be in Slovenia to participate in the 2024 edition of the Bled Strategic Forum. She will also visit the areas stricken by the floods of August 2023, a year after her first visit.
In the afternoon, the President will give a keynote speech in the opening session of the Bled Strategic Forum, which you can follow live on EbS around 14:00 CEST. President von der Leyen will then participate in a leaders’ panel on ‘A World of Parallel Realities’ alongside Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković and Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob.
That morning, the President will travel with Prime Minister Golob from Ljubljana to Črna na Koroškem, where the mayor Romana Lesjak will guide them through a photo exhibition and discuss developments on the ground. She will then visit a reconstruction site of areas flooded in August 2023, before holding a short press point with Prime Minister Golob and the mayor. It will be broadcast live on EbS around 9:55 CEST.
