The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of HU Holding S.r.l. (‘HU Holding’) of Italy by Apollo Global Management, Inc. (‘Apollo’) of the US, Clessidra Private Equity SGR S.p.A. (‘Clessidra’) and Human Company S.r.l. (‘Human Company’), both of Italy.
The transaction relates primarily to the hospitality sector.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the companies’ limited market positions resulting from the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
