The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of exclusive control over the Health Facilities Operations business of Vamed AG (“HFO Group”), based in Austria*, by PAI Partners S.à r.l. (“PAI Partners”), based in Luxembourg.
The transaction primarily involves the operation of healthcare facilities providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, as well as preventive medicine and nursing care services.
The Commission concluded that the proposed merger would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market position of the companies involved as a result of the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
