On Thursday 7 July, the Pegasus and other spyware inquiry committee will discuss the situation in Israel, ahead of a delegation traveling to the country later in July.

In the public hearing, MEPs sitting on the inquiry committee investigating Pegasus and equivalent spyware will be joined by the following guest experts for an exchange of views:
- Mona Shtaya, Advisor at 7amleh (Arab Center for Social Media Advancement)
- Eitay Mack, Human Rights Lawyer, representing the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union in its court case against NSO
- Gil Naveh, spokesperson for Amnesty International Israel
The hearing is part of the committee’s preparatory work for its upcoming fact-finding visit to Israel on 18–20 July.
