During an official visit to the Republic of Poland, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation on the Supply of Defense Equipment.

The purpose of signing the Letter is to ensure constant support and strengthening of the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the acquisition by Ukraine of Polish defense equipment, in particular Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Rak self-propelled mortars and missiles for Piorun man-portable air-defense systems.

“Today we are signing a document on the supply of Polish Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Rak self-propelled mortars, air defense systems, in particular the very effective Piorun, MiGs and other weapons that we badly need,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a meeting with media representatives following the negotiations with Mateusz Morawiecki in Warsaw.

The President emphasized: it is not only about support, but also about cooperation, in particular in the form of purchases, which will strengthen the defense potential of both Ukraine and Poland.

In addition, as the Head of State reported, during the meeting with the Polish Prime Minister, the creation of joint enterprises for the production of weapons and ammunition was discussed.

“Despite everything, the defense-industrial complex of our countries will work effectively. There are very substantive agreements,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Also, during the President’s visit to the Republic of Poland, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

“A separate document on cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine was signed. I am sure that our recovery will help the development of Polish business and both our countries,” said the Head of State.

He stressed that it is important for the economic growth, which both states are working on, to increase the number of quality jobs in both Ukraine and Poland.

“This will also give us and Poland a positive social result. We are interested in the maximum attraction of Polish business to Ukraine. I would like to assure investors: we are working on minimizing war risks for investments,” the President emphasized.
