A study commissioned by the European Commission highlights the significant potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve public sector services across the EU. The report, finish befor the adoption of the I Act, emphasises that AI can enhance citizen-government interactions, boost analytical capabilities, and increase efficiency in key areas such as healthcare, mobility, e-Government, and education.

The EU Commission and Ukraine met for their 3rd Cyber Dialogue

During the dialogue, the EU and Ukraine underlined their strong commitment to the UN framework of responsible state behaviour in cyberspace, grounded in the application of international law and norms of responsible state behaviour. According to the EU Commission, X designs and operates its “verified accounts” with the “Blue checkmark” in a way that deceives users. X does not comply with the required transparency on advertising, as it does not provide a searchable and reliable advertisement repository. And X fails to provide access to its public data to researchers in line with conditions set out in the DSA.

Commission accepts commitments by Apple opening access to ‘tap and go’ technology on iPhones

The EU Commission has made commitments offered by Apple legally binding under EU antitrust rules. The commitments address competition concerns relating to Apple’s refusal to grant rivals access to a standard technology used for contactless payments with iPhones in stores (NFC – ‘Near-Field-Communication”, or ‘tap and go’).
