Greece: EU Commission disburses €2.3bn in loans under the RRF

The Commission disbursed to Greece the fourth payment for €2.3 billion in loans (net of pre-financing) under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). As for all Member States, payments made to Greece under the RRF are performance-based and depend on the implementation by Greece of the investments and reforms described in its recovery and resilience plan.

Following the elections to the bureau of the European Parliament’s committees and subcommittees, Co-Chairmen Nicola Procaccini and Joachim Brudziński congratulated the newly elected chairs and vice-chairs. Committee MEPs elected Veronika Vrecionová as Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI), Johan Van Overtveldt as Chair of the Committee on Budgets (BUDG) and Bogdan Rzońca as Chair of the Committee on Petitions (PETI).

Ukraine: EIB President Calviño briefs EU Foreign Ministers on support for energy

EIB commits more than €450 million to support Ukrainian energy infrastructure crucial for upcoming winter. The bank also announces a new initiative to increase local-currency lending and EIB guarantees to facilitate access to financing for Ukrainian businesses. And the EIF is to roll out this month €300 million in export-credit guarantees for EU companies trading with Ukraine.
