The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of Superstruct Holding S.à r.l. (together with its subsidiaries, ‘Superstruct’) of Luxembourg by KKR & Co. Inc. (‘KKR’) of the US.
The transaction relates primarily to the sector of live entertainment and music festivals, in particular to the provision of accommodation solutions, staging and production services to music festivals and live events.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not active in the same or vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
