The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of Fortenova Group MidCo B.V. (‘Fortenova Group’) of the Netherlands by Pavao Vujnovac of Croatia.
The transaction relates primarily to the agricultural sector, as well as to the food production and supply of daily consumer goods in Croatia, Slovenia and various non-EU countries in the Balkans.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on competition in the markets where the companies are active. The notified transaction was examined under the normal merger review procedure.
