Brussels, 19 March 2024

Yesterday evening, Spain submitted a request to the Commission for a targeted revision of its recovery and resilience plan. The proposed amendments are technical and follow the comprehensive revision of the Spanish plan, which was adopted by the Council on 17 October 2023.

The Spanish recovery and resilience plan consists of €163 billion, of which €79.8 billion in grants and €83.2 billion in loans. It includes 595 milestones and targets, 111 reforms and 142 investments. To date, the Commission has disbursed more than 30% of the funds allocated to Spain under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, i.e. more than €38 billion, which includes pre-financing.
