EESC: How sustainable food systems can contribute in achieving food security and nutrition, in line with SDG2 on Zero Hunger

29 February

Scope and objectives

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event on “Achieving SDG 2 without breaching the 1.5 °C threshold: A global roadmap” organized on 29 February morning by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Liaison Office in Brussels and hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee has to be cancelled at this date and time.

To be informed about other opportunities to discuss the report in Brussels, please check the FAO Brussels Office website about rescheduling information.

However, please note that the meeting of the EESC’s Permanent Group on Sustainable Food Systems taking place on 29 February (14:30-17:00) on the topic How sustainable food systems can contribute in achieving food security and nutrition, in line with SDG2 on Zero Hunger” is maintained and will be webstreamed here. You are welcomed to follow this meeting online and listen to presentation of concrete examples on three domains of the FAO’s Roadmap (fisheries and aquaculture, healthy diets and food loss and waste).
