The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the creation of a joint venture by RHP Partners-Managers GP, LLC (‘RHP Partners-Manager), Macquarie Real Estate Investments Holdings (‘Macquarie’), both of the US, and UBS Group AG (‘UBS’) of Switzerland.
The transaction relates primarily to investment in real estate assets in the US.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the joint venture will have no activities in the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
