On the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak held a phone conversation with Director of the General Intelligence Directorate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Major General Ahmed Husni.
The main focus of the conversation was on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the upcoming third meeting of national security advisors and diplomatic advisors to the leaders of states in Malta.
Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude for the participation of the Jordanian delegation in the previous round of consultations in Jeddah and invited Ahmed Husni to personally participate in the planned event.
The head of the President’s Office and the Jordanian intelligence chief also exchanged views on events in the Middle East. They emphasized the necessity of preventing further escalation of the conflict and highlighted the importance of protecting the civilian population in the conditions of ongoing hostilities. The parties also underscored the importance of unhindered functioning of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian goods.
