Saltsjöbaden VII: An international scientific workshop on improving air quality in a high-pressure world

Date 12 – 15 March 2023

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

This conference in Gothenburg will gather 200 experts, researchers and negotiators from all over the world to strengthen international efforts to improve air quality. The meeting will be held within the framework of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU, and participants will include representatives from the WHO, the UNEP and UNECE (CLRTAP) countries.

Questions to be discussed include:

How can we involve more countries in efforts to reduce emissions of air pollutants?

How can we communicate the health impacts of air pollution so as to speed up action?

How will future emissions be affected by population growth, what we eat and how we get around?

Is air quality in cities improving or deteriorating as a result of more electric vehicles on the road?

New research shows that even low levels of air pollution have adverse health and climate impacts.
