Brussels, 11 November 2022
The European Commission has launched today an open call for tenders for the provision of technical expertise related to digital services markets to support its enforcement efforts aimed at ensuring openness, contestability and fairness of those markets, including, among others, through the enforcement of competition rules and of the Digital Markets Act. Given the highly technical nature and complexity of digital markets as well as the need for speedy investigative and enforcement actions in those constantly evolving markets, the Commission intends to avail of external technical knowledge and expertise. The main purpose of the open call for tenders therefore is to identify prospective providers of such specific knowledge in a number of digital services such as operating systems, web browsers, cloud computing services, and others. In order to obtain the right mix of skills and technical expertise in the various digital services concerned, the call for tenders is divided into two separate lots, focusing on access-related issues and data-related issues respectively. Tenders can be submitted until 10 January 2023. More information can be found here.
