On 28 December, the EU Commission received Latvia’s third payment request under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), amounting to €275.1 million in grants, net of pre-financing.
This request includes 30 milestones and targets.
It covers key reforms and investments in the areas of the twin green and digital transitions, health, the rule of law and reducing inequalities.
The Commission will now assess whether the milestones and targets related to this payment request have been achieved by Latvia. It will then share its preliminary assessment with the Council’s Economic and Financial Committee.
Latvia’s comprehensive recovery and resilience plan will be financed with €1.97 billion in grants. More information on the Latvian plan is available online.
