Brussels, 4 April 2025

Yesterday, the European Commission launched a new call for proposals for EU action grants worth  €34 million to fund integration projects for migrants in the EU. This call is launched under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) to finance projects in five areas: protecting children, improving access to healthcare, helping women access the labour market, opening educational pathways for refugees and improving digital skills. These subsidies are intended for public authorities, economic and social partners, social economy actors and civil society organisations. The call is open until 16 September 2025 at 17:00 CEST.

The AMIF aims to strengthen national capacities and improve migration management procedures. It also strengthens solidarity and responsibility-sharing between Member States, including through emergency aid and the relocation mechanism. The current funding period runs from 2021 to 2027, for a total amount of €9.88 billion. More information about AMIF can be found here.

Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner said: “Integration is a key element of a functioning migration management system, an investment in the cohesion of our societies and economic well-being. With new funding of €34 million, we are financing projects that can contribute to better integration. The call is open until 16 September.”
