The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of HomeSafe Alliance, LLC (‘HomeSafe’) by KBR Services, LLC and Tier One Relocation, LLC (‘T.O.’), all of the US.
HomeSafe is active in the movement of household goods for members of the US military and employees of the US government. KBR Services offers a variety of logistics services to US government customers. It is controlled by Kellogg Brown & Root Services, Inc., which provides comprehensive science, technology and engineering solutions to governments and commercial customers worldwide. T.O. specialises in door-to-door household moving services for the military. It is controlled by Sun Capital Partners, Inc., a private investment firm focused on leveraged buyouts, equity, debt and other investments in several industries worldwide.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given its limited impact on the market. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
