The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of Belgium-based Mega Group International SA by Swiss-based MET Sales and Trading Holding AG.
The transaction mainly concerns the electricity and gas sectors.
The Commission concluded that the proposed merger would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market positions of the companies concerned resulting from the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger control procedure.
